Current Limit mode acts like a fuse or circuit breaker. If you exceed a set current limit value, the output will shut down. This applies to the AC6800A family of AC sources.
The 6800B series AC sources have a constant current mode, which allows current to flow when the current limit is reached, but will reduce the output voltage to maintain a constant current level.
Applies to: 6811B, 6812B, 6813B
Applies to: AC6801A, AC6802A, AC6803A, AC6804A
